Frugality By Design is based in Navarre Beach, FL and was created to fill a need for professional, creative design and furnishings at reasonable price points.
Sam Polk, owner and designer, has been a resident of the Emerald Coast for more than seven years. He was the co-creator of Miss Lucille's Gossip Parlor, a unique coffeehouse in Santa Rosa Beach, FL featured in regional and national publications including Southern Living and Atlanta Magazine.
As the owner of numerous properties along the beaches in the Panhandle of Florida, Sam has vast experience designing, renovating and furnishing homes and condominiums. In addition, he manages his own vacation and long-term rental properties.
A former Atlantan, Sam was the Director of the Northside Hospital Foundation, responsible for the management of $11 million in Foundation funds and development of a community affairs program offering thousands of volunteers and funds to the Atlanta community. In addition, he has worked for several other prominent Atlanta organizations and has designed and coordinated hundreds of events for groups of 10 to 25,000.
Sam has extensive service as a community volunteer including The American Heart Association, The Juvenile Diabetes Foundation, United Way, Project Open Hand, March of Dimes and the South Walton Tourist Development Council.
